Paul Flantos Southeast Regional Manager
Paul Flantos was born in Brunswick, GA, and has lived in Brunswick all of his life. Paul attended both the College of Coastal Georgia and Atlantic Armstrong State University, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Communications. During college, Paul served as President of the Omicron Delta chapter of Phi Theta Kappa honor society, Student Representative for the CCGA’s Academic Counsel, Secretary of the Circle K International Student Body (part of Kiwanis International), and was part of the USA Today 2004 All USA academic team, all while working his way through school in the food service industry. In his spare time, Paul has served as a local youth pastor at Bethel Church in Brunswick and participated in missionary work in Mexico. At his college graduation, Paul delivered the Motivational Charge to his graduating class.
Upon completion of his undergraduate degree, Paul continued to work in the food service industry, where he quickly returned to management. As General Manager of Ruby Tuesday in Darien, Paul accepted the challenge of a restaurant on the verge of closure. With the help of dedicated team members and many long days, the store not only remained open, Paul's Ruby Tuesday grew from being ranked in the bottom one percentile to being in the top half of the nation. What struck Paul about this was not just the increase in overall guest satisfaction, but instead the improving morale of his team. As Paul's restaurant grew more successful, his employees were happier and more dedicated. While building a great business, Paul realized that he was helping his staff achieve self-actualization, and that really grabbed his heart. Paul was grateful, but realized he needed a new mission to further help people in a more meaningful way.
Paul lives the CHC mission, because he truly understands that to help our people, our clients as well as our staff, our business has to be strong. To improve ourselves and our communities, we must preserve our own stability and continually progress, just as Paul did with his restaurant. Paul attributes his success to always treating people with dignity and respect and keeping the needs of both guest and team member paramount. Paul says, “Leaders can accomplish very little without quality people implementing a shared vision."
Paul and his wife Rachel have a son and enjoy riding bikes together, going to the beach in the evening, and spending time with family and friends. Personally, Paul loves engaging in conversation, no matter the topic or person, and learning new things.
