Tyler Dorn Savannah Branch Director
Tyler Dorn was born in the rural town New Glarus, WI on a dairy farm. He studied and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Augsburg University in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
While attending university, Tyler studied Psychology abroad in Nairobi, Kenya and taught English in Cuernavaca, Mexico. During this time, he also worked at St. David’s Family Center for Youth and Family Development in Minneapolis. While with St. David's, Tyler worked as a personal care assistant, as therapeutic recreation staff, and then was Staff Lead of the St. David's Therapeutic Recreation Adventure Program. Tyler's adventure program allowed him to plan daily recreation activities that engaged individuals with disabilities with their community. Tyler's experience at St. David’s Center helped shape his career and his passion to continue working with individuals with disabilities.
After graduating from college, Tyler was hired as Program Director of Dungarvin, a residential services provider in Madison, Wisconsin. Tyler was then promoted to Program Services Coordinator. While serving in this role, Tyler was recognized by Dungarvin as capable of taking on additional leadership roles. He was assigned as Special Projects Manager to stabilize multiple areas of the state and also learned to conduct quality assurance audits, allowing him to ensure compliance with federal, state, and company protocols. Excelling in his compliance work, Tyler was then assigned as an Investigator for the State of Wisconsin. Tyler says that he has suceeded in his many high-stress roles by “controlling the things you can, and coffee.”
Tyler has greatly impressed the CHC Savannah team with his energy, bright ideas, attention to detail, and his commitment to excellent service delivery.
